Cut Knife RCMP have seized 250 grams of cocaine as part of an ongoing investigation and are searching for a wanted man.
RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Poundmaker Cree Nation in relation to an ongoing trafficking investigation.
Officers located and seizied cocaine, trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition and weapons in the residence.
As a result of continued investigation officers have charged 49-year-old Willis Checkosis from Poundmaker Cree Nation with:
– One count, possession for the purpose of trafficking
– One count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
– One count, fail to comply with release order condition
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and RCMP are working to locate him.
Checkosis is described as approximately 6’1” and 195 lbs. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has writing tattooed on both his left arm and on his left fingers.
