The Lloydminster Bandits (13-3) bested the Onion Lake Border Chief (0-16) 12-1 on Nov. 20.
Playing out of the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League, the Bandits travelled to the Onion Lake Memorial complex last Wednesday and put on a show.
Lloydminster’s Ethan Jubinville got things rolling 20 seconds into the opening frame with an assist from Aden Stratton. Onion Lake’s Brady Gajewski, however, got the equalizer seven seconds later.
Gajewski’s goal opened the floodgates for Bandits’ sharpshooters and goals from Zander Varty and Braydan Edwards before the end of the first period.
The second frame saw goals from Silas Reeds, Jayden Plamondon, Corvan Stewart, a second from Varty, and one from Adryan Bugiera.
The third saw goals from captain Joel Webb, Kade Dennett, another from Stewart, and one from Jaxon Rutley.
The Bandits are in Vermilion on Nov. 25 to face the Tigers.
