Former LMHA board member charged

Lloydminster RCMP has laid four charges against a former Lloydminster Minor Hockey Association (LMHA) board member.

On Sept. 27, 2024, Lloydminster RCMP received a report of money being embezzled from the LMHA.

Through the course of the investigation, it was learned over $300,000 had been taken from the association through fraud and theft over a period spanning five years.

As a result of this investigation, Aaron Troy Foster, 42, of Lloydminster, has been charged with:

  • Fraud Over $5,000
  • Theft Over $5,000
  • Criminal Breach of Trust
  • False Pretence


Foster was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
