Max Joseph Kayfish

KAYFISH: Max Joseph Kayfish, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was born May 20, 1949 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Rudolph and Regina Kayfish. He was one of six children. Max attended high school in Leask, Saskatchewan.
Max is survived by his older brother Danny Kayfish, his sister Bernie Guenette (Dan), his sister Pat Lopez (Greg), his brother Ron Kayfish (Sandy), daughters Shannon Semotiuk (Lee), Tracy Nicholson, Carrie Eckersley (Doug), Kelley Kayfish, son Stephen Kayfish (Lisa). Grandchildren Joshua, Ali, Shayla, Erin, Sierra, Amy, Isabella, Addyson, and Olivia. Great grandchildren Dante, Nikkita, Cashus, Jenaya, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Regina Kayfish, and his brother Lawrence, and his wife of many years, Joy Kennedy.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:00 pm, at Hainstock’s Funeral Home 9810 – 34 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta. Private interment to follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Leduc, Alberta.
Max will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Addiction and Mental Health would be greatly appreciated.
