Local man charged with drug trafficking

Lloydminster RCMP charged Todd Antonenko, 56, of Lloydminster with multiple offences in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Lloydminster RCMP‘s Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team arrested Antonenko on March 10 during a traffic stop in Lloydminster.

During a search of the vehicle and Antonenko’s person, officers located and seized approximately 9.2 grams of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of fentanyl, 1.7 grams of cocaine. RCMP also found additional drug trafficking paraphernalia, pepper spray, ammunition, and magazines.

Officers then executed a search warrant on a recreational vehicle in Waseca, Sask. and seized further evidence.

Antonenko was charged with:

  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • six counts, weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, unsafe storage of ammunition, Section 86(2), Criminal Code.

Antonenko made his first Provincial Court appearance in North Battleford on March 11.
