Shortly after 3 p.m. June 8, multiple units from the Lloydminster Fire Department were dispatched after reports of a wildfire.
Upon arrival on the north side of 44 St. across from Scotia Bank on the city’s west side, they encountered heavy smoke conditions.








Crews worked quickly to contain the blaze. By 3:45 p.m. very little smoke was showing.
Lloydminster RCMP closed one westbound lane to safety. Paramedics were on scene assessing at least one individual. No word on injuries.
The cause remains unknown.
