On April 25, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Vermilion detachment, arrested Cole Erich Hill in Sooke, B.C.
The arrest is in connection to the Jan. 21 death of 30-year-old Brady Greg Snelgrove.
Investigators secured an arrest warrant for Hill on April 22 after obtaining sufficient evidence to support charges. Police determined Hill fled Alberta shortly after Snelgrove’s death.
Mounties located Hill with the help of the public and several British Columbia units, including the Sooke and West Shore detachments and the West Shore Bike Unit.
Hill, who is of no fixed address, remains in custody. He was brought before a justice of the peace and is being remanded while awaiting transport back to Alberta to face the charges.
