Police are asking the public for help locating an 18-year-old North Battleford man wanted in connection with a shooting late last month on the Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation.

Battlefords RCMP say officers responded to a report of a firearm discharge at a residence on the First Nation at 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 25.
Investigators determined a firearm was fired from a vehicle toward a home before driving away. None of the occupants inside the residence were injured.
Mounties, alongside Saskatchewan RCMP police dog services, searched the area for the suspect vehicle, which is described as a black, four-door Dodge Dart. Police have not been about to locate it.
Brady Starchief, 18, of North Battleford, is charged with discharging a firearm with intent, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, careless use of a firearm and failure to comply with a probation order.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Starchief is described as five-foot-seven, weighing 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Police do not currently have a recent photograph of him to release.
Anyone who sees Starchief is advised not to approach him. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts or the suspect vehicle is urged to contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
