Jack Mallett

JACK: Jack Preston Mallett went home to eternal rest with Jesus on October 5th, 2026. Jack was born at the Galahad Hospital on July 17th, 1940. He was raised on the family farm near Forestburg, Alberta and attended school at Hastings Coulee, Forestburg, and Heisler. Jack graduated from SAIT in 1962 with certification in petroleum engineering technology and was employed by various oil companies in Devon, Swift Current and Lloydminster. Jack, along with his wife, Mary, spent many hours leading Bible study, prayer group, and youth ministry in dedication to the Church. Jack leaves the following to cherish his memory: three sons, Rick (Christine), Mark (Lea) and David; sister, Patricia Foisy (Rene); brothers, Jim (Carla), Dennis (Joyce); sister-in-law, Marlene Mallett; and brother-in-law Michael Zarichny. He also leaves behind: eleven grandchildren, Tianna, Denise, Nicole, Greg, Levi, Ryan, Kevin, Bradley, Jonah, Ricky and Julia; thirteen great-grandchildren (with another on the way); and his Godchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by: his soulmate and wife, Mary; daughter, Lori; sister, Mary Irene; brother, Dr. Douglas Mallett; parents, Carl and Josephine Mallett; and sister-in-law, Diane Zarichny. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on October 9th, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lloydminster, AB, with Burial to follow at the Lloydminster Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local pro-life organization.
