I had a wonderful holiday weekend filled with three amazing meals, time spent with loved ones and the opportunity to attend a 50th wedding anniversary party. It was a weekend full of good food, laughter and reminders of how lucky we are to have people in our lives who make it better.
Attending the anniversary party also got me thinking about the importance of surrounding ourselves with good, positive people. Life can be busy, stressful and unpredictable, but having people around who lift you up, make you laugh and remind you of the good in the world can make all the difference.
We often get caught up in our daily routines, worrying about what needs to be done next or what tomorrow might bring. Thanksgiving is a good reminder to take a step back and appreciate what we already have.
Whether it is a full table, a meaningful conversation or simply spending time with people who make you happy, there is always something to be thankful for.
This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for good food, wonderful memories and, most importantly, the people who make life a little brighter. Sometimes, that is more than enough.
