While the Alberta Junior Hockey League matchup featured standard on-ice action, the stands were packed with cheering students from the Lloydminster Public School Division, Kitscoty and Paradise Valley, creating a lively atmosphere unique to the mid-day game.
The Bobcats beat the Dragons 8-2 with doubles from AJ Tarnowski and Emile Plourde and singles from Maxx Parfitt, Jaxan Hopko, Ethan Elefante and Luke Dooley.
Prior the event, organizers also announced that Mark O from College Park won the Richardson’s Jewellery design-a-jersey contest.
The Bobcats are back at the Hub this weekend to host the Devon Xtreme at 7 p.m. Friday and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons at 7 p.m. Saturday.
