Lloydminster’s Momentum Volleyball Club strikes gold

Momentum Volleyball Club of Lloydminster has won another Saskatchewan championship, this year at the 16U girls’ level. The Lloydminster-based Momentum Volleyball Club has kept its golden streak intact.

For the second straight year, the same contingent of  girls — plus two newcomers from Meadow Lake — has earned the Saskatchewan club volleyball championship, this year at the 16U level.

“It was very exciting and quite an accomplishment,” said Momentum coach Cory Gratton, whose club beat Ascend of Saskatoon in the final. “To be able to stay on top with the same group is particularly rewarding.”

Momentum was dominant provincially all season, and won two of the three Sask Cup titles before provincials.
