Cold Lake RCMP seize cocaine, guns in trafficking bust

Two people are facing charges after the RCMP seized cocaine and firearms during a drug trafficking investigation last week.

On April 23, the Cold Lake RCMP‘s general investigations section executed a search warrant at a residence near 8 St. and 10 Ave.

During the search, officers arrested several individuals and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, multiple firearms and items associated with the illegal sale of controlled substances.

Jordan Pascal, 36, of Cold Lake, faces several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.

Pascal was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Bonnyville on April 28.

Gwen Janvier, 43, also of Cold Lake, has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. She was released from custody and is set to appear in court in Cold Lake on May 20.
