The bases are loaded in Lloydminster this weekend as Baseball Alberta stages provincial AA championship tournaments at the 15U and 13U levels.

Beginning on Friday, July 31, two of the three Lloydminster Prairie Pirates teams are at home for their respective provincials this August long weekend.
The 13U AA Pirates host the Tier 1 championship at Legion Ball Park, while the 15U AA Pirates are on Hospital West Field for their Tier 3 championship.
The 13U AA tournament is an eight-team event. Top-ranked Lloydminster is in Pool A with the fourth-seeded Sylvan Lake Mariners, the No. 5 Camrose Cougars Royal and the eighth-ranked Southwest Edmonton White Sox Black.
In their round-robin games, the Pirates meet Camrose at 6 p.m. Friday, Southwest Edmonton at noon Saturday and Sylvan Lake at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Pool B consists of the second-ranked Okotoks Outlaws, the No. 3 Drumheller Miners, the sixth-seeded Strathmore Reds and the No. 7 Webber Wildcats.
The 15U AA Pirates are seeded sixth in their six-team tournament. They don’t play Friday but have two games Saturday — at noon against the No. 4 Lethbridge Junior Bulls and at 6 p.m. versus the top-ranked Camrose Cougars Royal.
The other pool includes the second-seeded Airdrie Stars, the No. 3 Lacombe Dodgers Blue and the fifth-ranked Sherwood Park Athletics Green.
