Alberta’s specialized organized crime unit has seized two handguns, ammunition, stacks of Canadian currency and a substantial amount of suspected illicit drugs following a law enforcement investigation.

Images released by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) display a massive evidence haul, including dozens of bags containing white and tan powders, two semi-automatic handguns with extended magazines, a bag of live ammunition and thousands of dollars in bundled $20, $50 and $100 bills.
Among the confiscated weapons was a handgun secured inside an official evidence container, alongside a second firearm fitted with an extended magazine. The seized narcotics were packaged in both large bulk quantities and smaller, individually wrapped plastic bags typical of street-level distribution.
ALERT, an umbrella agency funded by the province that brings together municipal police services and the RCMP to tackle serious and organized crime, has not yet released the specific location of the raid, the chemical breakdown of the substances, or the total estimated street value.
It remains unclear how many individuals have been taken into custody or what charges are pending as the investigation continues.
