The Lloydminster Bobcats have strengthened their blue line with the acquisition of 20-year-old defenceman Cash Ganske from the Devon Xtreme in exchange for Tafari Chingwaru.

Ganske, a native of Leduc, Alta., brings extensive Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) experience to the Border City club. Across 125 career AJHL games, the veteran blue-liner has tallied seven goals and 33 assists.
“We are excited to add Cash to our defensive core,” said Bobcats general manager Nigel Dube. “We believe we have a very strong group on the back end, and he adds even more AJHL experience and talent to it. The trade took longer than anticipated, but we are excited to welcome a standout defenceman in our league to our program.”
Dube added that Ganske is eager to join the team and represent the local community.
In making the announcement, the Bobcats organization extended a welcome to Ganske and his family while thanking Chingwaru for his contributions on and off the ice during his time in Lloydminster.
