An 18-year-old man faces multiple Criminal Code charges after an all-terrain vehicle struck a parked police cruiser in Onion Lake over the weekend.

Onion Lake RCMP say officers spotted a male driving an ATV erratically in the detachment parking lot at about 4:25 p.m. on Aug. 23.
The vehicle collided with an unoccupied police cruiser, causing damage. Flying debris from the crash also damaged a window on a second police vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.
Police say the ATV fled the scene shortly after the collision.
Later that evening, at about 7:45 p.m., officers received a report of a vehicle fire on the Onion Lake Cree Nation. Investigators determined the fire was suspicious and linked it to the earlier parking lot incident. No injuries were reported from the fire.
Mounties arrested a suspect nearby.
Deshawn Moostoos, 18, of Onion Lake, has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance
- Operating a conveyance while disqualified
- Failing to stop at the scene of an accident
- Mischief under $5,000
- Arson causing damage to a motor vehicle
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Moostoos is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Aug. 27.
