The Rustlers kicked off their campaign in dominant fashion, mounting a three-game winning streak that showcased both tactical patience and explosive offence. After edging Portage College 2-0 on the road in their season opener, Lakeland returned home to deliver back-to-back clean-sheet blowouts against Keyano College, outscoring the Huskies 10-0 across two days (6-0 and 4-0).

However, momentum stalled as conference play ramped up. The Rustlers fell into a three-game slump, dropping a 2-0 decision to The King’s University before conceding consecutive 4-0 shutouts to Concordia University of Edmonton and the NAIT Ooks.

Sitting at an even .500 mark (4-4), Lakeland now looks ahead to a critical home-and-away stretch aimed at reigniting their offence and solidifying their position in the standings.
