Federal Policing Northwest Region’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) arrested the individual on Sept. 24 after receiving reports of concerning posts.
Investigators allege a Telegram user posted videos showing real-world activity associated with “764,” a transnational network listed by Canada as a terrorist entity in December 2025. Officers also traced references to the user across several 764-related chatrooms on Discord and Telegram.
According to police, 764 functions as an online ecosystem of violent predators who coerce youth into child sexual abuse, self-harm and animal torture. The network incorporates extreme ideological views aimed at desensitizing and radicalizing children to violence.
The 18-year-old has been charged with:
Participation in activity of a terrorist group
Facilitating terrorist activity
Two counts of commission of an offence for a terrorist group
Because the alleged offences occurred when the individual was a minor, their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on Oct. 6.
RCMP say the investigation remains ongoing and no further details will be released while the matter is before the courts.
Authorities urge anyone with non-emergency national security tips to contact the RCMP National Security Information Network at 1-800-420-5805 or submit details online at rcmp.ca/report-it. Immediate national security threats should be reported directly to 911 or local police.
