Lloyd assault leads to arrest of two

Lloydminster RCMP is investigating a July 19 assault that left a woman with significant injuries.

Officers arrived at the scene in the city’s east end and located a female victim, who was taken to hospital.

Yolanda Scarlett, 38, of Lloydminster, faces aggravated assault charges. An underage male was also arrested and faces charges, including assault causing bodily harm, overcoming resistance by choking, and uttering threats.

Scarlett was released with conditions and must appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Aug. 18. The youth remains in custody and has a scheduled court appearance.
