Saskatchewan RCMP say there is currently an increased police presence in Onion Lake as officers continue to investigate an ongoing incident.

Mounties said Wednesday morning the heightened presence is related to an active investigation, but did not provide further details.
Residents are being asked to avoid areas where officers are operating and to follow any directions given by police.
RCMP said more information will be released as it becomes available. Police added they will notify the public if an imminent risk to safety is identified.
