Lloyd pair nabbed for auto theft

On Aug. 19, Kitscoty RCMP received a report from the Lloydminster RCMP of a vehicle equipped with GPS tracking that was stolen and in their area. Kitscoty RCMP, with assistance from Lloydminster and Vermilion RCMP Detachments, located the stolen vehicle and a second stolen vehicle on a lease site near Range Road 12 and Township Road 480. When officers approached the vehicles, both attempted to flee. One vehicle was immobilized by a Tire Deflation Device and the second vehicle was immobilized when it went into a field. Both drivers were taken into custody without further incident.

Sadie Lameman, 19, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:

  • PSP Over
  • PSP Under (x2)
  • Flight from police
  • Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle

Lameman has been released from custody with his next court appearance set for Sept. 13, at Lloydminster Provincial Court.

Joshua Canada, 20, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:

  • PSP Over
  • PSP Under
  • Flight from police
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Mischief under $5000
