Johnson: Anne Johnson passed away at the Elk Point Health Center, Elk Point, Alberta on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the age of 93 years. Anne is lovingly remembered by: her children, Garry (Gayle) Johnson, Terry (Victoria) Johnson, Brenda (Dave) Lorenz, Robert (Francine) Johnson, Neil Johnson (Annalee) and Debra (Ryan) Bader; grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Landon Johnson, Josh Johnson, Alex (Braden) Lorinczy, Nick (Morgan) Lawlor, Mariah Lawlor (Gage), Jasmin Lawlor (Jordan), Dru (Julie) Franklin, Daine Franklin (Lacy), Bobbi (Cody) Howes, Chad (Terra) Lorenz, Kati (Scott) Strang, Branson Johnson, Paris Johnson, Melissa (Ryan) Almond, Alysha (Chris) Derwynka, Hope (Shane) St. George, Jackson Bader, MacKenna Bader and Cooper Bader; nineteen great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Pat) Watson; brother-in-law, Walter Arnold. Anne is predeceased by: her husband, Marvin Johnson; parents, Robert and Annie Watson; parents-in-law, Herman and Bessie Johnson; as well as numerous relatives of both the Johnson and Watson families. The Celebration of Life for Anne was held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Marwayne Community Hall commencing at 2:00 PM. Donations in memory of Anne can be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, Pioneer Cemetery or the donor’s charity of choice. Card of Thanks Our family would like to extend our sincere thank you to Dr. Khan and Dr. Fasola for their understanding care of our Mom; to the Vermilion Home Care aids for their gentle and kind care; to Jackie and especially Carol Joy for their expertise, their understanding and compassion throughout Mom’s journey, to Islay Care Home for their wonderful care and compassion in making Mom feel welcomed and loved during her stay (Mom missed you when she left); to Elk Point hospital for their commitment to caring for Mom to the end with a heartfelt thank you to those care aids and nurses that went the extra mile in caring for Mom; to Kevin and Barb Nelson for always being there for Mom and Dad, our family and our community. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for those who phoned and visited Mom in the last few years of her life….it made Mom’s life worth living to say the least. Thank you to all those who sent flowers, cards and donations in memory of our amazing Mom. Finally, thanks to Colleen’s catering and to McCaw Funeral Home for your compassion and support in making Mom’s celebration of life exactly that…it was perfect!
