We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved son Derek Pedersen on December 19th in the Red Deer hospital at the age of 38.
Despite his many challenges throughout his life, he enjoyed every day and brought much joy to those around him. He taught all who knew him many lessons about taking pleasure in the little things daily in a life well-lived.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents Glen & Brenda & his brother Kirk, his maternal grandmother Velma Wildman as well as beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Derek was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Lee Wildman, paternal grandparents Ernie & Maria Pedersen, uncle Niels Pedersen, aunt Leasa Kessir, uncle Wayne Willard, infant cousin Anthony Schulte and infant sibling Laurel Pedersen.
Creech’s Lakeland Funeral Home has handled the cremation and a private interment will take place at a later date in the St. Luke’s Cemetery north of Lloydminster.
We are most grateful to all the wonderful people who’ve been involved in Derek’s life.
