On Feb. 6, Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) completed a drug trafficking investigation in Lloydminster. As part of the investigation, Lloydminster GIS executed a search warrant at a residence. During the execution of the search warrant, RCMP seized 60g of methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, Cody Lee Morris, 45, and Sakara Scovill, 31, both residents of Lloydminster have been charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Fail to comply
Morris and Scovill were both taken before a justice of the peace. Morris was remanded into custody and Scovill was released. Both are to appear next on Feb. 13, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
