Payne: Mona Elizabeth Payne passed away at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on April 20, 2024 at the age of 87 years.
Mona is survived by: her children, Brad (Janice) Payne, Harvey (Susan) Payne, Rocky (Debbie) Payne, Mark (Doris) Payne and Scott (Jackie) Payne; grandchildren, Kevin (Carmen) Payne, Chad (Cassie) Payne, Shawn Payne, Jana (Pat) Rutherford, Tara (Dan) Koppel, Cole (Angie) Payne, Kyle (Sydney) Payne, Neal Payne (Sophie), Brendan (Bryn) Payne, Dalton Payne (Colby), Jayden Payne (Leah) and Jaxon Payne (Halley); great grandchildren, Haley, Brody, Codie, Caidyn, Serena, Natalie, Emily, David, Carter, Chloe, Claire, Cobi, Kylor, Kinley and Rowan and Renn; sister, Fay Payne; Sister in laws, Evelyn (Gordon) McKay and Donna Manley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mona was predeceased by: her husband, Bernie Payne (2021): son, Greg Payne (2008); parents, Beatrice and Horace Manley; brother, George Manley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Grace and George Payne; sister-in-law, Maureen Harvey; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Payne and John Harvey.
The Funeral Service for Mona was conducted from St. John’s Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM. ** The service and eulogy is available to be watched on McCaw’s website.

Mona’s family would like to thank all those who held space for us, with cards, food, flowers, calls, texts and coffee, we were blessed with incredible support. Special thanks to the staff at the Lloydminster Hospital and to Mona’s “home” staff at the Dr. Cooke Continuing care center for making her last year and especially last days comfortable for her and all her family to be with her. Thank you to St. John’s Anglican Church, Reverend Michael Stonehouse for officiating the service, to Tara and Jana for preparing and delivering the Eulogy, it was exactly as Mom wished for. To the ladies auxiliary for providing lunch and a place to gather and visit. Thank you to everyone who donated to the Greenwood Community Center and Dr. Cooke in Mona’s memory. Lastly, thank you to everyone at McCaw’s funeral service for your advice, hugs, attention to details and care. You go above and beyond and we are so thankful our community is supported by people like you.
