Environment Canada has issued an air quality advisory for Lloydminster due to wildfire smoke.
The smoke is causing, or expected to cause very poor air quality and reduced visibility.
Air quality and visibility due to wildfire smoke can fluctuate over short distances and can vary considerably from hour to hour.
During heavy smoke conditions everyone is at risk regardless of age or health. The fine particles in wildfire smoke pose the main health risk. If you experience symptoms, reduce or stop outdoor activities.
Symptoms can include eye, nose and throat irritation, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.
