Two new family physicians are now practicing in Vermilion expanding health care for the town.
Dr. Akrm Krimeed is a general practitioner with Anesthesia and is the second anesthetist to join the Vermillion Health Centre, also providing services in the emergency room as needed.
Dr. Ashraf Al Oud practices family medicine during clinic hours, and provides hospital coverage in acute and long-term care and emergency.
“We are excited to welcome these two exceptional physicians to our community,” says Garth Rowswell, MLA for Vermilion-Lloydminster-Wainwright. “Dr. Al Oud and Dr. Krimeed are great additions to our local care team and will play a significant role in providing access to primary and emergency care for our residents.”
The physicians have joined the Vermilion Health Centre and Midtown Medical Clinic, bringing the number of physicians at Midtown to six.
Alberta Health Services continues to recruit for physicians to meet community needs.
