A Wilkie caregiver had her day in court on Aug. 26, 2024 after sexually assaulting at least four adult residents at a care facility between Jan. 2023 and Feb. 2024.
Jaclyn Elias, 36, of Wilkie, Sask., was arrested on Feb. 29, 2024, and charged with:
- 4 counts, assault, Section 266, Criminal Code
- 3 counts, sexual assault, Section 271, Criminal Code
- 1 count, sexual assault with a weapon, Section 272(2)(b), Criminal Code
- 1 count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code
One day prior to Elias' arrest, Wilkie RCMP received a report of multiple physical and sexual assaults at a care facility in Wilkie.
RCMP investigation determined between January 2023 and February 2024 at least four adult residents of the facility were assaulted, sexually assaulted and/or threatened by Elias.Â
Elias has not worked at the facility since February 2024.
Her next court appearance in North Battleford on Sept. 16, 2024.
