The North Battleford RCMP released details regarding a collision this morning that closed Highway 16.
At approximately 8:45 a.m. Sept. 3, Battlefords RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway #16 near North Battleford, SK.
Emergency services, including the RCMP, attended the incident.
“Investigation determined a semi and SUV collided. The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 37-year-old male from Saskatoon, SK. His family has been notified,” said the media release.
The Semi-truck driver was uninjured in the collision. Battlefords RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision deconstructionist.
The highway has since reopened.
