Quick thinking led to the arrest of four individuals in Vermilion.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP say a female was taken against her will and put in a vehicle with three suspects who were unknown to her. The female was able to discreetly send text messages to a third party who then contacted police.
“Throughout the investigation it was learned the victim was in Edmonton where she was forced into a vehicle driven by an adult male. There were three other adult occupants in the vehicle,” RCMP said.
RCMP were able to track the suspect vehicle to a residence in Vermilion, and with the help of local and surrounding law enforcement, make four arrests.
The four individuals were taken into custody and the victim was found uninjured. A machete was located inside the suspect vehicle.
