The Rustlers, with just 18 seconds left on the clock managed to find a goal to clinch the game and take their home opener 3-2.
The stands were packed for the Rustler’s home opener.
“It was a great game, had a good turnout, it well supported by our fan base and we won an exciting game with 18 seconds left, couldn’t have gone much better really,” said Morgan Mann, Lakeland College Rustlers head coach.
Mann says things are looking good for the rest of the season.
“Off to a 2-0 start, we expect to be in the top 4, I think we’ll be competitive and a tough opponent for any team in the league,” he said. “We’re excited for the season and think we are going to have a good run at things.”
The Rustlers are on the road Oct. 18 and 19 visiting Olds College for two games.
