The Game Changers, Women in Leadership aims to inspire and raise funds for a local hockey program.
The Oct. 22 event is a chance to take in leadership tips, mentorship and make community connections. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Lakeland College Rustlers women’s hockey team.
“It’s a women’s leadership conference, we’ve partnered with Red Bicycle who partnered with Gold Horse Casino to put together a women’s conference called Game Changers,” said Morgan Mann, Lakeland College Rustlers head coach.
The keynote speaker for the event is Lana Lane
“Our keynote speaker is an auntie of one of our players she and her family are community pillars in Lloydminster and her message is really really solid for anybody,” said Mann.
Joining Lane will be moderator Jill Kelly and panellists Jackie Bender, Angela Minish, Jessica Kelly, Jo Tichkowsky and Sarah Hogue.
“This conference is about acknowledging the people in our community the women who are in leadership and some of those people have been so generous with their time to help grow our players and this conference is kind of recognizing that as well,” said Mann.
The event takes place from 12-4 at the Gold Horse Casino, tickets can be purchased by emailing rustlershockey@gmail.com.
