Cold Lake RCMP is currently investigating after receiving reports of shots fired.
The incident happened on Range Road 430 between 10 and 11 a.m. on Oct. 23.
"A member of the public was in their residence when they heard multiple gun shots. The property owner then located their family dog deceased," stated the RCMP. "A vehicle was seen in the immediate area shortly after the shots were heard."
Police are looking to speak with individuals associated with a pick-up truck in the area at the time. The truck is described as a newer model white 4-door Dodge Ram with an open box. It is reported to have a small logo on the driver/passenger door that is grey in colour and about 8 inches in size.
