The Vermilion Tigers bested the Lloydminster Bandits at the Civic Centre on Nov. 7.
Playing out the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League, the Bandits (9-2) remain on top of the standings.
The Nov. 7 loss saw Tigers’ goals from Kaden Davidson and Ryan Nelson in the first frame.
The second period saw lots of back and forth before Vermilion’s Wyatt Dyck made it a 3-0 game with 1:35 to go in the frame.
Lloyd’s Koston Eaton got the Bandits on the board nine seconds later. Unfortunately for the Bandits, Dyck got his second of the night less then a minute later.
The third period saw a Bandits goal off the tape of Brayden Edwards at 16:29 on the power play. Vermilion’s Connor Roscoe was quick to answer at 11:49 before both benches got one more powerplay goal each.
Bandits captain Joel Webb lit the lamp at 8:42 and Dannon Pavka tickled the twine at 6:25 for the Tigers.
The boys in black and red are back at the Civic Centre on Nov. 9 to host the Vegreville Rangers at 7:30 p.m.
