On Dec 14. at approximately 8 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to a 911 call about a stabbing attempt at a bus stop on 50 Street at 43 Ave.
Officers found a man with an edged weapon when they arrived.
“Officers used their intervention options, including a firearm, to bring the subject into custody,” stated the RCMP press release.
The man was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. No officers or other civilians were hurt.
As required by law, the Director of Law Enforcement was notified. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is now investigating the incident.
