Alberta RCMP has provided an update on a fatal collision which occurred on March 26.
At approximately 4 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP received reports of a motor vehicle collision on Township 502 near Range Road 20.

Upon arrival, they located a semi-trailer in the ditch.
“The vehicle had impacted a utility pole,” stated media representatives for the federal force. “The male driver was declared deceased.”
Road conditions and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
Emergency services from the County of Vermilion River, including Blackfoot Fire and Rescue and emergency management officials, attended the scene.
Residents received a Voyent alert asking them to avoid the area during the incident.
The shutdown lasted multiple hours while the investigation concluded.
