One man in critical condition after downtown incident

Lloydminster RCMP say a man was found injured in the area of Highway 17, north of 52 St. early Tuesday morning.

“At 4:13 a.m. on April 15 … Lloydminster RCMP received a report of an injured male,” said RCMP.

“Preliminary investigation revealed evidence consistent with a hit-and-run,” stated RCMP.

Police later confirmed the man had been hit by a vehicle and is now in critical but stable condition.

They say the vehicle used in the hit-and-run was stolen prior to the incident.

“On April 16, 2025, Lloydminster RCMP located the suspect vehicle involved in the hit and run,” they said.

Officers continue to search for whoever was driving the vehicle.
