An RCMP officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a traffic stop on May 7 in North Battleford.
As a result of the incident, Police charged 52-year-old Leon Night of North Battleford with assaulting an officer and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Saskatchewan RCMP say officers pulled a vehicle over around 7:30 p.m. after seeing a passenger without a seatbelt.

An adult male driver exited the vehicle and confronted officers as they approached. However, he returned to his vehicle when told to do so.
Officers told the individual he was under arrest after observing marijuana and unstamped tobacco in the vehicle.
The man assaulted one officer while resisting arrest and a struggle ensued. Officers successfully handcuffed the individual after the struggle.
RCMP say the officer was treated at hospital and released but is still receiving care for non-life-threatening injuries.
Night will appear in North Battleford provincial court on June 23.
