The Lloydminster Lions Club handed out cheques totalling $2,800 to various organizations at a recent meeting.
Traditionally, the community benefits from the club around May through donations.
The Lloydminster Minor Hockey Association (LMHA), Lloydminster Comprehensive High School’s Barons football, the Kiwanis Music Festival and the Lloydminster Early Years Coalition were in attendance on May 26 for the presentations.
The club also presented a cheque to Explosion Cheer Academy in their absence.
LMHA general manager, Dan Auchenberg, echoed the sentiments of all recipients when he said they appreciate the club’s support.
The club is still seeking golfers for its upcoming tournament on June 13 at Rolling Green Fairways.
