Meet the city’s mighty machines

The City of Lloydminster has invited the community to Wheels at Work: Meet the Mighty Machines at Bud Miller All Seasons Park.

The free, family-friendly event will showcase multiple municipal vehicles from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13.

The current list of vehicles to be shown includes:

  • Firetruck
  • Hydro-vac/combo unit
  • Fire services rescue equipment
  • Bylaw enforcement vehicles
  • Street sweeper
  • Specialized mowers
  • RCMP truck, trailer and quads
  • Loader and blower unit
  • Trackless snow plow
  • Grader
  • Pollution prevention vehicle
  • Garbage truck

The goal is to give residents insight into how these vehicles are an essential part of city services. People will be able to explore the cabs of vehicles and speak with operators directly. Reading material on the vehicles will also be on display.

Information booths on the City’s street improvement plan, trails and sidewalks etc. will also be in display.
