The Lloydminster Fire Department (LFD) responded to reports of a fire at an unhoused encampment on 40 Ave. early Sept. 23.

According to city officials, the incident was under control within minutes.
“The LFD arrived on scene at 7:12 a.m. and had the fire extinguished by 7:15 a.m. Two trucks responded to the call,” said the City of Lloydminster. “One was used for suppression, while the other was released when it was determined not to be required.”
Officials reported no injuries due to the fire.
