“This is our annual spring cleanup garage sale,” said Sandra Brown, recreation co-ordinator, City of Lloydminster.
The event took place in the Servus Sports Centre on May 9 with excited shoppers finding a wide variety of items.
“People are looking for home décor, kids’ clothing, toys, bikes have been rolling out of here today,” she said.
This year, one vendor was done with his sale before the day even began.
“We had a vendor that completely set up and a guy came in and bought the whole lot,” said Brown. “He was sold out before we even started.”
The garage sale draws a variety of people from Lloydminster as they look to find items such as antiques or everyday goods at a discount.
The city hosts two garage sales every year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
“The spring one started probably, I’m thinking eight years ago,” said Brown. “This is our 14th garage sale today.
“We have 27 vendors, so over 70 tables.”
