BRASSINGTON: Gordon Frederick Brassington passed away at Vermilion Health Center, Vermilion, Alberta on June 24, 2026 at the age of 79 years. Gordon is survived by: his loving wife of 58+ years, Barbara; daughter, Tara Clarke and her family, Olivia (Matthew), Orry and Owen; son, Kevin Brassington and his family, Cole (Hoi) and Rylan; son, Ian Brassington and his family, Jacey, Jacob and Charley; sister, Eva Waterfield; brother, David and Ron (Dorothy) Brassington; sister-in-law, Irene Knowlson and Edna Curtis; brother-in-law, Alan Svean (Dianne) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gordon was predeceased by: his parents Frank and Muriel Brassington; parents-in-law, Conrad and Olive Svean; uncles and aunts, Frank and Nellie Kirby, Lloyd and Eva Chambers, Harry and Anna Brassington; Art and Joyce Brassington and Ken and Bertha Brassington; sisters-in-law, Pat Brassington and Gladys Roebuck; and brothers-in-law, John Knowlson, Mason Curtis and Art Waterfield. The Funeral Service for Gordon was conducted from E. H. Walter School, Paradise Valley, Alberta on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 10:00 am. Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to Paradise Valley Ag Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
