Momentum for the event officially began following a kickoff gathering held at the Holiday Inn in Lloydminster on Aug. 28.
Organized in collaboration with Mercy for Humanity and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at under the motto “Love for All, Hatred for None,” the three-kilometre run, walk and jog will take place at Bud Miller All Seasons Park beginning at 11 a.m.

This year’s run will directly benefit the Bea Fisher Centre Inc. and Inclusion Lloydminster.
Proceeds raised during the event will support the Bea Fisher Centre Inc. in its ongoing mission to empower individuals with developmental disabilities. The funds will assist in delivering essential programs, including 24-hour residential living care, life and work skill coaching, community access initiatives and specialized transportation services.
Additionally, financial contributions will aid capital projects and equipment needs, such as residential home maintenance and accessible vehicle acquisitions, ensuring clients can live independent, meaningful lives within the community.

Funds allocated to Inclusion Lloydminster will support family-based advocacy, educational programs and community inclusion initiatives designed for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The financial support will help the non-profit expand its family leadership workshops, inclusive recreation efforts and community integration programs aimed at breaking down barriers and fostering inclusive spaces across the region.
Organizers are actively seeking local sponsorships to help maximize the funds raised for both beneficiary organizations.
Runners, walkers and supporters of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate. Registration details, sponsorship opportunities and additional event information are available online at www.runforlloyd.ca, by emailing in**@*********yd.ca, or by calling 1-877-786-4553.
