The Lloydminster Bobcats closed out their pre-season opening weekend on a high note with back-to-back wins over the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL.
Cash Ganske scored twice in the third period as the Bobcats completed a weekend sweep of the Klippers with a 4-1 victory in Alberta Junior Hockey League action on Sept. 5.

Dylan Deets and Luke Dooley also scored for Lloydminster, which earned a 6-2 home victory over Kindersley on Friday.
Kaegen Lowe scored the lone goal for the Klippers.
Deets opened the scoring at 9:05 of the first period to give the Bobcats an early lead before Lowe responded for Kindersley at 16:44.
Dooley put Lloydminster back in front for good at 6:40 of the second period with the game-winner.
Ganske provided insurance early in the third frame, scoring at 1:01, before adding an unassisted tally at 10:51 to secure the victory.

Parker Roppelt made 18 saves on 19 shots to earn the win for the Bobcats. Mattias Radke stopped 19 of 23 shots in the loss for Kindersley.
Neither team converted on the power play, with both sides finishing 0-for-0 in a penalty-free contest. Lloydminster outshot Kindersley 23-19.
The Bobcats are back at the Cenovus Energy Hub on Sept. 12 to host the Bonnyville Pontiacs.
The ‘Cats start regular-season play at home on Sept. 18 against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.
