Battlefords RCMP search for missing 16-year-old girl

Battlefords RCMP is turning to the public for help as they search for a missing 16-year-old girl last seen in North Battleford more than a month ago.

Mounties say they received a report on June 10 that Taliyah Kakum of the Little Pine First Nation was missing. She also goes by the name Tanya.

Investigators say Kakum was last seen on April 30 in North Battleford.

She is described as five-foot-six and 119 pounds, with brown eyes and long, black and pink hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and red sneakers.

Police say she is known to travel to North Battleford, Corman Park and the Little Pine and Poundmaker First Nations.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
