Rescheduled for tonight at Unity, a third and deciding game was needed in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League semifinal between the Unity Cardinals and Lloydminster Twins.

Game 3, originally scheduled for Tuesday night, became necessary after the Twins stayed alive with a gritty 3-2 victory last Thursday (July 16) at Wallace Park Field in Lloydminster.

The Cardinals had won the series-opener 8-1 the previous night in Unity.
Last week in Lloydminster, Brenden Pollard went the distance in pitching the Twins to victory.
Ben Lefebvre drove in two runs in the fourth inning to put Lloyd ahead to stay.
The other semifinal between the pennant-winning North Battleford Beavers and the Standard Hill Lakers ended Tuesday night at the Silver Lake field near Maidstone, with the Beavers winning 17-8 to sweep that series.
North Battleford prevailed 4-2 in Game 1.
