The Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT) combine resources from Crime Reduction Teams, the Human Trafficking and Counter Exploitation Unit, the Offender Management Unit, Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Teams (STRT) and Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Teams (WEST). The teams’ primary focus is on disrupting gang activity, drug trafficking and violent crime in Saskatchewan.

Throughout September, SERT operations also led to 11 executed search warrants, the seizure of seven firearms, 773 grams of cocaine and 30 grams of methamphetamine.

Investigational highlights included:

  • Sept. 9: The Lloydminster STRT executed a search warrant at a local residence, seizing about 41 grams of cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. An adult male was arrested and charged.

  • Sept. 9–12: Saskatchewan RCMP conducted a four-day proactive initiative aimed at suppressing crime and improving safety in the Battlefords area.

  • Sept. 16: The Yorkton STRT arrested an adult male and executed a property search warrant, recovering 701 grams of cocaine, 85 unidentified pills, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

  • Sept. 17: The Prince Albert Crime Reduction Unit arrested 12 individuals and seized six firearms and 28 grams of cocaine following a drug trafficking investigation.

WEST units also tracked down several high-priority suspects last month, including arresting a man wanted on multiple firearm and assault offences on Mistawasis First Nation on Sept. 2, capturing a woman wanted for sexual assault and interference by Shellbrook RCMP the same day, and apprehending a “Top 100 Offender” wanted by Melfort RCMP in Prince Albert on Sept. 3.

Superintendent Andrew Farquhar, officer in charge of SERT, said the figures reflect the value of intelligence-led policing.

“These results demonstrate the impact of focused, intelligence-led enforcement across Saskatchewan,” Farquhar said in a statement. “Every arrest, seizure and investigation contributes to our broader goal of making Saskatchewan communities safer.”
