Police report that officers with combined traffic services Saskatchewan pulled over an SUV around 8 p.m. on Oct. 23 during community patrols in North Battleford. Following an investigation, officers formed grounds to search the vehicle under the controlled drug and substances act.
The search led to the seizure of quantities of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with unstamped tobacco and plastic brass knuckles.
All three occupants — two adult females and one adult male — were arrested and each charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance.
The driver faces additional charges of identity fraud under Section 403 of the Criminal Code and possession of unstamped tobacco under the Excise Act. Police noted the driver was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
